Statistic of the Day

In 2007, drivers of large trucks involved in fatal crashes were reported wearing restraints 79.4% of the time as compared to only 48.8% of the passengers of the large trucks.

The goal of Analysis and Information (A&I) Online is to provide information and data to promote analytically sound, safety-conscious decisions by all Motor Carrier Industry stakeholders. The site provides motor carrier safety information including statistical and analytical resources for FMCSA and State enforcement personnel, motor carriers, researchers, insurers, shippers, and the public.

A&I was developed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Analysis Division and the U.S. DOT’s Volpe National Transportation Systems Center.
