Roadside inspections were conducted by Federal and State personnel on passenger vehicles (motor coaches, school buses, vans, limousines, and buses) in fiscal year 2010. Roadside inspections occurred when a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) inspector conducted an examination on individual commercial motor vehicles and drivers to determine if they were safe to operate by determining if they were in violation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR).
