III. What are the applications for A&I Online?

  3.1   Access a list of interstate carriers ranked according to their safety status
  3.2   Access a specific carrier's SafeStat results
  3.3   Access a specific carrier's safety fitness history
  3.4   Review the Crash profile of a specific state
  3.5   Identify the carriers that are having the most crashes in a selected state
  3.6   Support the development of Safety Plans or Commercial Vehicle Safety Plans (CVSP)
  3.7   Review a specific state's Compliance Review (CR) activity by safety rating
         and compare the results to other states.
  3.8   Review a specific state’s Roadside Inspection (RI) activity and compare the
         results to other states.
  3.9   Review a specific state's Traffic Enforcement (TE) activity as compared to
         the total number of roadside inspections
3.10   Compare the commercial zone vehicle OOS inspection rate for state and
         federal personnel in Texas
3.11   Compare the top 10 Vehicle OOS Violations for U.S. DOT Motor Carriers
         by Carrier Domicile

3.13   Access MCSAFE

3.2 Access a specific carrier's SafeStat results

There are over 600,000 interstate commercial motor vehicle operators stored in the A&I database that can be accessed online. To access a specific carrier's SafeStat results:

1. Access the SafeStat Online Module from the Main Menu.

Access SafeStat module by selecting SafeStat Online from the main menu.

2. Click on Carrier Detail Results from the SafeStat Module.

Click on Carrier Detail Results once on the first SafeStat page to access motor carrier safety information.

3. In the Carrier Detail Results: Selection Form enter the carrier's name (or as much of the name as you know). Next select whether the name you entered contains, starts with, or ends with that name. If you wish to speed up the search, "Select U.S. State" or "Outside U.S."

4. If you entered a carrier name, a list is generated with names of carriers that match the name you input into the selection screen.

In the Carrier Selection List, Click on carrier name to display carrier overview screen.

If you entered a "DOT #" the Carrier Overview screen will be displayed with the specific carrier where you can drill down to access the carrier's detail SafeStat results.

In the Carrier Overview, Click on SEA Value category buttons in the upper navigation to access detail SafeStat Results. An example would be Driver [SEA]
